The Pillar Church Story.
In 1 Timothy 3:15 Paul gives the church an identity as a pillar and foundation of truth. The local church is to be people who gather in order to hold up and live out the truth of the gospel. This is what Pillar church is all about. We are a people who seek to love Jesus and the truths found in Scripture and we desire to live out those truths. We would love for you to join us as we follow Jesus together.
Conroe is one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. and we need more gospel preaching churches! It is this conviction and the desire to have a healthy church that makes and equips disciples for the glory of God that led our people to plant Pillar Church.
Pastor Alec Brunson
Alec’s calling is to shepherd the flock of God (1 Peter 5:2) and preach the word (2 Tim. 4:2) and he loves the blessing of fulfilling this calling at Pillar Church in Conroe! Alec is originally from Oklahoma and went to The University of Oklahoma for undergrad where he met his wife, Emily Clair. He has an MDiv from SBTS and a ThM from MBTS.
Emily Clair grew up in the Spring area, they have three kids; Knox, Adeline Wren, and Shepherd. They love to explore the nature trails in their neighborhood, spend time with family and you can find them eating at Pie In The Sky on Sunday afternoons.
Pastor Jon Ray
Jon’s calling is to shepherd the flock of God (1 Peter 5:2) and preach the word (2 Tim. 4:2) and it is his joy to fulfill this calling at Pillar Church in Conroe.
Jon was born and raised in the Spring/Houston area and went to The University of North Texas where he met his wife, Sarah.
Jon and Sarah have three children; Noah, Aden, and Lili. They love spending time out in God’s creation, enjoying family walks, and hanging outside on the patio.
